Technically, poodles do shed. However, when the hair falls off the follicle, it stays where it is until the dog is combed or brushed; at that point the hair will be trapped in the comb / brush and you can easily dispose of it. You will NOT find poodle hair floating around the house, on your clothes, on the carpet, or on your furniture. This is why they are known as "non-shedding" or "hypoallergenic." I have always had terrible allergies but poodles do not trigger my problems.
